The Information Technology (IT) Industry Fortune

Information Technology (IT) has changed the world a lot better. So many redundant manual services have been automated and hitherto unknown services are being served at a fraction of cost through using IT. In one sentence, IT has become God sent DIVA! If you are in IT field, have been serving people around you to make their life better, you know better what the potential of this field is. However, all said and done, this potential field, known for its efficiency and effectiveness, is dependant on few wealthy countries either for its own development or for the bulky projects. Read further to know How To Takle this problem.

Nowadays, every company wants a slice of the billion/trillion dollar revenues generated through IT. No matter how complex the process is to be coded, companies are hell-bent to make the project successful and generate revenue. By competing against each other, Information Technology companies all over the world have created a healthy competition in providing better services at effective rates. Although a few countries like India, China, etc, have already dominated the field, other third-world countries like Indonesia, Philippines, etc, have also started contributing their best.

As part of the revenue generation in Information Technology field, so many third-world countries are doing their best to create an effective and level-playing field for all the players. In turn, these countries have benefited by entering this field a lot. So many new innovative products were created, which helped people all around the world to live a better life. Even countries from Africa region, who invest heavily in manual labor, are today heavily dependant on this field and are already enjoying the fruits of its innovations.

The only bottleneck in Information Technology field is in the availability of the projects. One way, almost all the third-world countries are into code generation, project execution, etc, and all the rich countries like US, UK, etc, are playing the role of project providers. That means most of the revenue in Information Technology field is coming from these rich countries. Now, the problem is what will happen to this Information Technology field when a few mishaps like “US/Japan economy recession,” “global slowdown,” etc, will really happen and the number of projects they are providing will go down. Is there any mechanism to save the Information Technology field from this kind of complex black hole?

The only solution for this kind of problem is the self-reliance. Companies, so far, have been keen on revenue generation and for that matter, they have been concentrating on rich countries and big projects. From here onwards, it is better for them and the IT field, if they start concentrating on their own country IT projects and go for reduction of service charges.

In summary, to stay fit in IT field and help to survive the field itself, companies need to change their hitherto strategies, targets, and mindsets and better start looking at the IT field with a fresh perspective.
